Principles and rationale

The 10th RMUTP International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development: Turning Digital Disruptions into Opportunities accomplished by Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) will be held during 4 – 5 June 2019. The conference focuses mainly on the event proposed by the United Nation. The developed program has a purpose to meet the needs of all present generation and the future generation who do not require to compromise and/ or diminish their abilities to meet their own needs. With the concept of Green Economy in the context of “Turning Digital Disruptions into Opportunities” described by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development (Rio + 20) in June 2012 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the theme rationale focuses on the economy that leads to improve the quality of human life and social justice as well. Meanwhile, it shall reduce environmental risks and shortage of resources. Moreover, the highlight strategies especially of Green Economy comprising a reduction of greenhouse gases, increasing development of the high effectiveness in energy and resource usages are included. It also emphasizes on the restoration of natural resources and the manufacturing sectors such as agriculture, industry, transport and tourism and urban development, etc.

Hence, the country’s government policy stresses present rudimentary concepts emphasizing on the sustainable development approach on Green Growth for both research and development. The approach comprises flexible integration of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and Engineering Principles. RMUTP International Conference, therefore, follows this concept distinguished into the Science, Technology, and Innovation for Sustainable Development as well as all subsidizing main fundamentals for both Creative and the Green economy. In addition, we are at the beginning of a Fourth Industrial Revolution. Developments in genetics, artificial intelligence, robotics, nanotechnology, 3D printing, biotechnology, and so on, are all building on and amplifying one another. This will lay the foundation for a revolution more comprehensive and all-encompassing than anything we have ever seen. Our present recognized conference has thus established in the title “The 10th RMUTP International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development: Turning Digital Disruptions into Opportunities”. Our organized co-hosts include Centre for Financial Econometrics (Deakin University) and Huawei Thailand. Though our legitimate goal for the Conference aims to enhance knowledge sharing mutually among researchers in the country and abroad, our expectation is to obtain the creation of networks of research and development and bring overview benefits of collaborative development in both the country and the nearby region
